Types of Claims
General Loss Claim: Serious Injuries (To both adults, minors and unborn)
- 30% or more of your entire body is disfigured,
- or loss of mobility or bodily function,
- mental injury.
Medical Expenses:
- Claim for past and future medical costs.
Loss of Income:
- If, because of the Motor Vehicle Accident, you are unable to work,
- You can also claim from the RAF for loss of present and future income.
Loss of Support:
- If the motor vehicle accident results in death – then the dependent/s of the deceased can claim for “loss of support”, e.g. spouse/children/other forms of dependents.
Cost of Funeral:
- If a person dies in a road accident that was at least partly someone else’s fault, the family can claim compensation for the cost of the funeral.
- Funeral cost claims are limited to the costs of cremation or interment.

- We offer guidance and clarity on what Road Accident Fund (RAF) requires in order for successful claim submissions.
- We assist the claimant in complying with the claim requirements.
- If the claimant needs help reporting the accident to the police station or ensuring their correct details have been recorded, we can assist.
- Regarding the claims for “Personal Injuries”, the claimant would need to have suffered injury of 30% or more of their entire body (WPI). We can assist in determining this or directing the claimant to the professional / experts who can.
- Regarding the claims for “Loss of Income”: the deceased was the breadwinner, we assist in determining the paternity /relationship of the beneficiaries and the deceased.
